How to process a request for a Smokey Bear Costume:
Interested party submits a request in writing to the State Forester's Office requesting permission to purchase a Smokey Bear suit with exactly how, when, where and why they want to purchase it.
State Forester's Office approves/disapproves the request.
If approved the agreement is processed through the State Forester's Office.
The State Forester's Office should keep a copy of the agreement on file, and send a copy to the Forest Service Regional CFFP Coordinator.
Interested party would contact costume licensee (Shafton, Incorporated or Facemakers, Incorporated) and follow up with a copy of the purchase agreement.
